The island of Lanzarote

Climate and weather

Playa Blanca has the best microclimate on Lanzarote - delivering more sunshine hours and higher temperatures than any other resort.

During the winter months, temperatures in Playa Blanca average 22 degrees Celsius, with 7 sunshine hours. During the summer, this climbs to 27 degrees and 9 sunshine hours - making Playa Blanca an ideal choice for a villa holiday,whatever the time of year.

The resort is also home to some of the finest Lanzarote villas, all of which are equipped with their own private swimming pools, as well as many other luxury extras.

Exploring Lanzarote and Fuerteventura

If you're able to tear yourself away from your Playa Blanca villa accommodation then you'll find that the resort is also ideally located for sightseeing too. Lanzarote's main attraction, the Timanfaya National Park - scene of enormous volcanic eruptions in the 18th century - is just 15 minutes’ drive by car.

If you’re looking to venture further afield, the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura is just a short ferry ride away. You can also discover the many works of the island’s favourite son - the famous artist Cesar Manrique, who created 7 centres of art, culture and tourism and who had an enormous influence on the controlled development of tourism on Lanzarote.
