Liquid Sounds

January 10, 2017

There are a growing number of live music events being staged on Lanzarote every year. But one of these in particular, Liquid Sounds, really stands out for its accessibility, both geographically and demographically. As this event is not just all about the music, but food, drink and family too. With concerts taking place during the daytime in amazing locations in the wine region, such as the Los Bermejos bodega in La Florida, which is just a 20 minute
drive from Playa Blanca.

Liquid Sounds first took off in 2013, under the aegis of the body responsible for the island’s wine denomination of origin, in a bid to boost awareness of local bodegas and their produce. It’s been in full flow ever since and goes from strength to strength each year, with may concerts now selling out well in advance thanks to the popularity of this event.

This years Liquid Sounds program is already quite well advanced, but there is still plenty of opportunity to get a taste of this eclectic event for yourself if you are visiting Lanzarote in 2016, as further concerts are planned later this month and in June also. The event is designed to showcase not just emerging musical talent but also the high quality of food and drink here on the island, creating a series of Gastro Gigs where wine and tapas are even included in the admission price.

If you’re keen to check this out for yourself then on April 24th the mainland Spanish rockers Mucho will be treading the stage at Los Bermejos from 13.00, with tickets priced at €22. Whilst over the course of June 10th and 11th Bodegas La Geria play host to the first weekend long event, which features live performances from Fuel Fandango and Supersubmarina. Tickets can be purchased direct online by visiting the sonidosliquidos webiste.
